Purpose of Clinical Posting

Clinical posting is a vital part of the nursing education process. It provides students with:

• Hands-on experience in real hospital settings

• Exposure to different medical and surgical departments

• Patient care skills under the supervision of senior nurses and doctors

• Confidence and professionalism in clinical environments

Areas of Training

During their posting at the Area Hospital, students actively participate in patient care across multiple departments such as:

• Medical & Surgical Wards

• Obstetrics and Gynecology

• Pediatric Ward

• Operation Theatre (OT)

• Outpatient Department (OPD)

• Emergency and Casualty Unit

• Community Health Section

Each posting helps students understand hospital procedures, patient communication, documentation, infection control, and teamwork.
