At Mother Vannini College of Nursing, faith and compassion are the foundations of our service and learning.
To strengthen our spiritual growth and global sense of mission, we celebrated the World Mission Rosary Day with deep devotion and unity. The World Mission Rosary, introduced by Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen, reminds us to pray for the entire world each color representing a continent and the people who live there. The students, faculty, and sisters of our college gathered together to recite the Rosary, offering prayers for peace, health, and harmony across all nations.
The event began with a brief reflection on missionary work and the importance of prayer in nursing care. Each decade of the Rosary was led by different groups of students, symbolizing global solidarity and compassion values at the heart of the nursing profession.
The atmosphere was filled with serenity, devotion, and gratitude, as participants offered their intentions for the poor, the sick, and those who serve in missions around the world. Through this spiritual activity, our students were reminded that nursing is not just a profession, but a vocation of love, care, and service to humanity.
