GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COURSE (GNM) 3 year Diploma Course

Mother Vannini School of Nursing was established with GENERAL NURSING AND MIDWIFERY COURSE (GNM) 3 year Diploma Course in the year 1998.The purpose of General Nursing Programme is to prepare the Nurses who will function as members of the health team beginning with competencies to provide care in the Hospital and in the Community.  The programme is geared to the health need of the Country, Community and Individuals.  It will serve as a basis for advanced study and specialization in nursing. It will assist nurses in their personal and professional development so that they make their maximum contribution to the society as individual citizens and nurses. The School of Nursing is recognized by Indian Nursing Council, Andhra Pradesh Nurses and Midwives Council, Vijayawada & Directorate of Medical Education, Vijayawada.



Admission Requirements

o Female Candidates between the 17-35 Years of good health and morales are generally considered for admission. For SC, ST & BC the maximum relaxation is made up to the age of 38 years.

o The candidates should have passed the INTERMEDIATE/PUC/PDC/XII standard or its equivalent examination.

o Candidates should possess good moral character, interest in working with people, maturity, right motivation, self-directed learning ability and a strong sense of responsibility.

o Good knowledge of English is essential since the entire course is conducted in English and the candidate must be prepared to learn Telugu the local language.

The completed application form is to be sent to the above address with the following enclosures by post:

1. Attested copy of mark list of S.S.L.C./SSC showing identity, date of birth and other particulars.

2. Attested copy of the mark list of Intermediate /PUC/PDC Examination or its equivalent.

3. Transfer Certificate (TC)/ School Leaving Certificate from the College last attended.

4. Study Certificates from 6th Standard/Class to 12th Standard /PUC/PDC/INTERMEDIATE).

5. Migration Certificate (For Candidates who have completed their qualifying examination under Universities outside Andhra Pradesh). 

6. Community/Minority/Caste Certificate from local authorities in English.

7. Aadhar Card Copy of Student and Parents.

8. Birth Certificate or baptism certificate.

9. Certificate of Physical Fitness from a Registered (Govt.) Medical Practitioner.

10. Recent passport size photographs – 2.

11. Conduct Certificate from the parish Priest/Pastors in the case of Christians.

12. A covering letter in the candidate's own writing with the List of enclosure.
